So that you can get to know me, I would love to share my personal Scentsy Story with you. I hope my story will warm, enliven and inspire you.
I have ALWAYS been afraid of candles and open flames. My house burned down when I was six years old and it was terrifying. I lost my cat that day. I never want to be that scared or vulnerable ever again! I love yummy, smelly things and I can sit in the shampoo aisle forever just smelling all of the available scents. It drives my husband crazy! haha I never used to burn candles unless they sat in the middle of my stove top where I could watch them. How boring is that!?!?!
In 2008, my beautiful grandma told me all about Scentsy over a phone call. She was very excited over this new candle product that didn't use a flame. I had honestly never heard her so excited over anything! During this time, I was a stay-at-home-mom and I was looking for a work at home job. I didn't want to sacrifice my time with my kids but I also longed for something just for me. I wanted to earn my own money and make new friends. My aunt had just joined Scentsy and she sent me the info. I researched the company and products and I decided that I wanted to join Scentsy. I loved the idea of having the scent of a candle anywhere in my house because FINALLY I didn't have to worry about a flame! It was $99 for the kit and I saved money for a few weeks before I had enough. I signed up to sell Scentsy on May 23, 2008. When I joined I had never even touched a Scentsy Warmer or smelled a Scentsy scent. I now have a Scentsy Warmer in every single room of my house.
It's been almost 9 years since I joined! Not only was I able to stay at home with my kids for several years but I was able to contribute financially. One of my biggest dreams is to become a nurse and I have been able to work weekends at a local hospital, attend nursing school and run my Scentsy Business. Yes, I am busy but I love it all!
Because of my Scentsy Business, I have flown in an airplane for the first time, I have overcome my fear of public speaking, I have become a leader, I have made new lifelong friends and I have even won awards! I have been extremely blessed because of Scentsy. To me and to thousands of other Scentsy Consultants, Scentsy is about more than just warmers and wax, Scentsy is about changing lives!
I am so excited about the growth that Scentsy has experienced and about our new products such Essential Oils, Oil Diffusers and Kids Products.
